April, 2012 This April, Cat Cora and Chefs for Humanity visited Haiti again. We witnessed inspiring accomplishments and recognized the continued challenges of a nation trying to rebuild. We were lucky to spend time with organizations having huge impact there, including the Haitian American Caucus, the Bureau de Nutrition et Developpment (BND) along with Partners in Health and the World Food Program, all of which are making strides towards sustainable agriculture, access to quality health care, food security, improved nutrition and women's empowerment. Most importantly, we saw first hand the strides being made by the Haitian people themselves, who with unparalleled resilience and fortitude, are rebuilding their country, one day at a time.
